Secondly I am not here to solicit any business, I'm here for you guys and ladies to help out with any questions releated to the Focus.
I've done this on F-150 forums and it's very helpful for them.
Here's what I can help out on. Please read all of this before you ask a question so we aren't asking the same question 40 times!
1. Need to find a specific new vehicle and your local dealer not helping? Just give me your zip code and what you're looking for and I'll try and find one close and let you know how the invoice pricing breaksdown.
2. Incentive information. All I need is your zip code and last name and I can check if you qualify for any private offers such as brochure $750 offers or anything else. Also if you're college grad. and have other offers I'll let you know what you can combine and what you can't.
3. I cannot tell you why Ford is not giving specific options that you want or when such and such option will be available unless I see it on Ford's dealer site.
4. I unfortunately do not have a crystal ball to tell you what incentives will change to.
5. Also if you ordered a vehicle through your dealership I cannot tell you when it will be there and track it. Only your dealership or the shipping dept can do that.
Lastly I am in internet sales so I generally know what dealerships are capable of selling vehicles for, so if you are wondering if there is money being left on the table let me know.
After looking at imccrea's dealership website inventory of (16 out of 106) Focus with manual transmissions, only one Focus was not base spec and it was a sedan. Note . base spec meaning no Sport Package or alloy wheels added.
So USA dealerships still equate manual transmission equipped cars for low end shoppers.
Sounds like a fair deal, very difficult vehicle to find. Are you tied to any color? Basically $500 under at that price above less rebates.
There are going to be none close so you'll have to travel, there is a sterling gray less MSRP $24,790 at:
Name Keller Bros. Ford
Address 730 S Broad St
City Lititz
State PA
Postal Code 17543
Hey can give a ruff estimate on a new mustang?
2013 gt premium (manual 6spd)
Mineral grey
Track package
recaros package
And with D plan pricing (if allowed) with around $3k cash
going for one in a couple months just wanted to get a ball park on price.I've built it on the ford website for about 38k
Sorry to break the news but I will be out of town starting tomorrow morning at 4AM through Wednesday evening at 6PM. I'll be back in the dealership Thursday midday and will have limited email and internet access (going to Oklahoma).
If you need anything please feel free to post and I'll get to it when I get back. Sorry for any delays to anyone but I need a mini vacation!
Well if you told them you were just test driving for fun they're probably calling because that is how we make a living. Spending 45 minutes with someone who never intends to buy something can put us off and the bad guys will blow your phone up.
I don't really take floor customers I just take phone calls and internet calls so it's a little different. Just tell him/her you bought elsewhere and you'll be fine.
Are the incentives from Ford to customers like coupons? Does the dealer turn them into Ford and get reimbursed or does the dealer lose the amount of the incentive as the costs of selling a car?
How do incentives from Ford to dealers work? Are there currently any incentives from Ford to dealers for the Focus?
Are the incentives from Ford to customers like coupons? somewhat we turn in the incentive through the computer and Ford reimburses us all at once.
Does the dealer turn them into Ford and get reimbursed or does the dealer lose the amount of the incentive as the costs of selling a car? Ford Motor Company gives us the money it does not show as a loss unless the customer pays off early if they finance through FMC.
How do incentives from Ford to dealers work? Are there currently any incentives from Ford to dealers for the Focus? Depending on your region there is up to $2,000 in incentives on the Focus, just have to check your local dealer.
On the $2,000 incentive that Ford is currently offering on the Focus do you have to finance the car through FMC? Or can you finance it through your own bank and still get the incentive?
Not sure if you handle leases but I'm in the market for a lease. I'm looking at a 2012 Focus SE, Automatic, with package 201a. I'm looking for a 24 month lease with 12,000 miles. I do get A/Z plan pricing. I do not have a lease to trade in. I'm looking to get my payments to $200 or less. The dealer I'm working with is at $229 with $1000 down. Is there room to negotiate? I would like to stay at $1000 out of pocket. I'm not sure if I'm getting the best price. My zip code is 48312.
Friendly advice -- putting money down on a lease (often called capital cost reduction) is a really bad idea. You're basically paying some of your "rent" upfront -- and if something happens that you don't complete the lease (i.e. the car gets totaled) that money is gone, lost, wasted.
I've never put a penny down on a leased car. Put that $1000 in a savings account. Even if it makes your monthly payments a few bucks higher, it's much, much safer.
I am considering purchasing an ST when they come out, and trading in my 04.. I have just one question and as the time comes I'll probably be asking more but, given your experience, what's Ford's history on incentives and discounts on special trimmed vehicles? Would it be likely that the ST would qualify for any Focus-specific offers like any other or would Ford treat the ST like a separate car? Thanks!!
Usually all SVT vehicles receive no rebates and are sold at or near MSRP. The Focus ST could potentially be treated like the Edge Sport, Fusion Sport, Explorer Sport and qualify for rebates; but we won't know til one is produced.
Just received the $750 private cash offer in the mail and going to the dealership. Is this the same $750 retail customer cash incentive offered by Ford? Zip is 47620. Thanks a lot!
Incentives changed today, you have a $750 rebate and your private offer is worth between $500 and $750 depending on the vehicle you buy. Max rebate you can get is $1,500 but on a Focus it is more likely just $1,250.
I went online today and it shows that the price of the titanium hatchback has gone down by $395. First off is this true? And if i have a car on order will i be able to get the lower price or am i stuck. I ordered the a 2012 titanium hatch with the black rims and winter package and thats it, on Feb. 17th. The dealer said they couldn't lock in the current incentives at the time. So i was wondering if that means my msrp could had been lowered to with this? Also is the $555 warranty included or is that a discounted price if u choose to buy? Thank You for ur help!
MSRP for a base Titanium is $22,700 before destination and incentives. I know the SE package has a lower price now (the Sport pkg specifically) but I haven't heard about the Titanium.
The dealer could have locked rebates when you ordered they just probably didn't know how to. When the vehicle is built the MSRP is created at current price levels so if it was built now vs a month ago you receive a lower MSRP.
The warranty is included for the 5/100, that is the value to the dealership and Ford on the warranty for the extra 40k.
Ira- is Ford still doing the Swap Your Ride $750 trade assistance? It is showing up on the Ford site but isn't listed when I search incentives for my area. Thanks.
Hey! Just wanted to see if i really got a good deal. I got a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium with navi and the platinum white tricoat. The msrp was $24,795. They gave me $3,500 off on there end, then the factory $750 and my student discount. It came out to $22,345 out the door after taxes. Is this a pretty good deal? Thanks for the help
I am on the peninsula of Alaska and my wife insists on not paying delivery, doc and any other fee. She wants flat out invoice price plus any incentives, the dealership here is advertising the base S model for about $14895, of course the add didn't say anything about other fee's, though we did swing by and take a look and they have five base models that have been sitting there for three weeks and dirty unmoved.
I have $8,000 down and no trade in, was going to go work out a price and take it into the bank and do my own bank work.
We really want this car and I am willing to pay what I have to pay but I want a good deal still and lowest payments I can get.
AK has the same incentive here $750 plus $750 trade so if you qualify for both that is $15,282 at invoice so they are selling it $387 below invoice ($495 holdback). Did they say they'd honor the price without the trade even?
I really doubt the dealer would sell it without any dealer fees, destination is included on the invoice, you can't really negotiate on an item on the invoice since it is set from Ford not the dealer.
Within the next couple weeks I am seriously buying a new 5 door SEL with Leather seats and Winter package.....WOW found quite a few online last week and many are dissapearing leaving the Titanium and SE behind.
Not sure yet if we are trading or not (06 Navigator)
Is there a student discount? Yes, back in college full time after all these years
NEA discount? Financing discount still applies?
zip 45373, equiptment pkg 303a
moon roof not necessary
winter pkg, leather seats
We would prefer to buy from the local dealer in Vandalia OH will buy elsewhere if they are not able to bring in what we want.

NEA is X plan so you are good, not sure on finance discount you are referring to however. Are you color specific?
For example I have an ingot silver stone interior with 303A and winter pkg. It's been re-invoiced to reflect the Sync discount of $344.
X plan is $23,325.07 before your rebates. That's what you should get from a dealer close to you. They should be able to order one or get one in but the problem with SEL 303 as well as Titanium 401 is that not only do they have winter, but nav, roof, parking, etc.

Ok, tell your wife she's being insane. Most state laws say that a dealer can charge a doc fee however it has to stay constant. Yes this is pretty much all profit but how else are they going pay for that chair your sitting in.
Actually with you being in Alaska you should be quite happy that they dealer can't magically say "Ah we had to spend $2,000 shipping this car to Alaska" which could easily be true. But because of that love it BENEFITS YOU. Last I checked Ford doesn't have a factory in Alaska building Focuses.
And a car is OK if it sits for 3 weeks and it'll be detailed (that's a part of the service fee)
If your wife walked into my showroom saying she wanted "Flat our invoice price and not a penny more" after a few minutes of trying to get her to understand that's not going happen I'd thank her for her time and tell her to have a lovely day.
I don't really WANT a moonroof but it seems most SEL's in my area (72118) have them. I see if I want to order I need to do so soon as the last build date is 7/1. Should I just suck it up and get the moonroof? Seeking candy blue hatch, 16's and MFT. Thanks!
Q: How hard is it to get approved by Ford Motor Credit?
My background. Two years ago I stupidly co-signed an auto loan for a friend who stopped paying. I took possession of the car and had it voluntarily repo'd and I ended up paying $4k to make the collection go away. However that mark is still in my credit report and I have 656 credit score. It is the only bad mark on my credit history.. ever.
I would really like to get a financing for my own new car. I have a steady job and manage my money well, Just that one bad mark.
I qualify for X-plan, would I be approved for a loan for a Focus TI? if so, what would my apr be? What about leasing Is that easier to get if credit is shot?
You will have a shot at FMC financing if you are in good standing with them. If your friend financed through FMC and the vehicle was reported as unpaid you will never get another loan through that bank again.
If you are a 656 score you will have a good chance at getting a halfway decent rate with X-plan + rebates. I would suggest putting at least 15-25% down to help out. You will be at a higher interest rate but it's better than 21% interest.
You cannot lease if you have subpar credit, you need to be 690 or above typically but each case is different. There is no 100% surefire way of being approved unless you're an 815+ with no debt.
