Check my thread: Nightshades . . . The Sleek Look.

Scroll down and fokuzsport made the link to where I bought my nightshades.

Just out of curiosity, what have people used that stuff on besides tail lights? I was thinking about getting mirrors with turn signals and putting nightshades on the signal lenses... good idea? Bad idea?

it works fine on taillights and turn signal lenses....just dont ever try it on headlights...you will see every defect in the spray job cause of the amount light that the headlights put out, so pretty much any light minus the headlights

Now...I actually bought a can of it and once I got it I started thinking about the fact that the seal on the taillights will never be the same after I use it. What has everyone done about bonding the lights back after nightshading them?

Alot of people spray it on the outside of the lights, supposed to be very long wearing stuff, seeing as the lights on a ZX3/5 are so high fromt he ground it should, in my mind, last a very long time unless by chance the sun fades it. But hell I live near Seattle we dont know what the sun looks like hehe. I am just going to spray the outside of mine, dont want to take the chance on them leaking if I seperate them, but if you go that route get some silicone adheasive from an autoparts store so it makes a good, watertight bond once you seal them back up, hope that helps a bit

you have to remember.. you are going to get imperfections anywhere you spray it.. it will even look blochy on your tailights.
