stupid..plain stupid

yes this is a gas price thread, im not usually the person who complains about higher prices but today it just hit me how retarded things are getting. I went into class today at noon, across the street is was $2.79 for low grade, $2.99 for premium which obv is all i look at. When I left class at 1:30 I looked and low grade was now $3.15 and premium was $3.35. I mean seriously, thats $.35 in one day. I dont want to hear people say how it cost more in other places or how we have nothing to complain about cause europe pays so much more, i dont care. My point is $.35 in one day is down right rediculous...im buying a road bike soon...

.......end rant.......

That will be the best decision of your life. I origionally bought a CBR just for the fun factor but it really was great getting to school in 20 minutes and always having several spaces to choose from, and then returning home in the same amount of time. Before it would take me on average and hour and 15 minutes to get to school and find a parking spot. 45 mpg was nice too...

35 cents in 1 day? are they even allowed to raise the price up that much at once? Tomorrow i'll have to talk to a friend of mine that owns a gas station...cause last i remember they weren't allowed to go past a certain amount in raising gas prices.

From what I understand, Europe's gas prices are high for different reasons than ours. Their gas is taxed heavily by the government so at least much of the money they're spending can be put to decent use in other forms.... or not.

Hey Nick,
If you're on campus on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday, you should hit the gas station up that's on Olentangy by the Applebees. On these days ALL grades of gas go for roughly $0.04 less than mid-grade. Or UDF on Hudson.

Or, you can use GasBuddy. If no one knows about this, go to www.gasbuddy.com, and search your city. It will list where gas is the cheapest in your city.

How much is the payoff on that KentSVT?

At this point, it doesn't matter if you get regular or premium...becasue this time next week, regular is going to as much as premium costs today.

Indeed. I would gladly pay $5.00/gallon like they do in the UK if meant I didn't have to pay a dime for quality healthcare and didn't have to spend most of my time driving avoiding giant potholes.

Also, more important than price shopping for gas - only go to Top Tier stations: http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html
Every station for the retailer's listed meets the Top Tier standards for gasoline quality and station/tank quality. You'll make that little bit of difference per gallon up in better fuel economy and engine life - who knows what's floating around in the old rusty tanks of the stations that don't meet these standards.
