Expensive Cars in Odd Places.

Ok, I thought this might be an interesting idea. Do you live in a small out of the way town, where someone has an expensive exotic or luxury auto? Just list the town name and the expensive car. I'm talking about Bentley's, Rolls Royce's, Ferrari's, Lambo's, Pagani's, Porsche's, that kind of automotive real estate.

For instance, me. I live in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, a town of around 25,000 permanent residents, mostly of the, shall we say, less cultured variety, who drive Ford, Chevy, and Dodge pickups. Except for the guy who owns the 2001 Ferrari 360 Spyder, who's daughter attends my school. Or my dad, owns the 1987 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. Or the guy who owns a 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo. Thats what passes for automotive culture around my town.

In an even smaller town south of us; Alma, Michigan; there is a couple who have an even more exotic car than a Ferrari or a Porsche. It's a brand new Bentley Continental Flying Spur, the worlds fastest sedan. In a town of about 10,000 people, mostly farmers.

My town is a mixture of the full spectrum of monetary ranking. I've only seen one Ford GT, a few Porches, and a lot of Mercedes and BMWs. Then there are the Tuner crowd.

In Vienna WV where i lived until about 4 months ago, there was an Aston Martin DB7 running around. As well as a couple jags. Town size is about 7500.

Well I live by Gary Indiana and I have actually seen a few high end mercedes and one ferrari parked outside a house. So that's kinda odd.

well this is kinda on subject but kinda not, i live in houston which is by no means a small town, and we have a lamborghini dealership, yet i have not seen one yet, nor anything else really. actually i did see a yellow rarri last night, but it was just there so people could feel kool for looking at it and to bring more business to the restaurant.

Black SVT at CMU. Hmm, I don't think I've seen you yet. What year is your car? How long have you been at CMU?

Mt Pleasant also has a BMW 745li, and a brand new 5-Series. Thats about it. The Tribe has some nice cars, like Roush Mustangs and Corvettes, but those are more attainable than say, a Bentley.

I think I may have seen the Viper you speak of, but I didn't know if he lived in MP or not. Also, on the way home from Alma, and the Bentley sighting, I drove up behind a yellow Viper. Thats a nice damn car.

I'd love to see you say that to their face and watch as they collectively kick your litte 'my dad has a porsche' ass. Way to sound like a stuck up snob... or was that the point?

Anyway, the only even remotely exotic cars I've seen around town was a Maserati Coupe, 911 and Boxster (which sounded like crap). There's not much exotic traffic in my neck of the woods. Though maybe I just don't go out at the right times.
