well looking at those power numbers it has.....i think its going to be slower then your focus, plus its alot heavier too. And you hate the ATX, so why would you buy another auto tranny car. I dont know, it just doesnt seem like it would be fun to drive at all, and those numbers seem way to low for a muscle car especially of that time. Lot of miles too. Dont do it, go find yourself a real muscle car.....no im not saying the camaro isnt a real muscle car i mean the one in the link.

Yeah, getting into the time the muscle died in the muscle cars. Still a cool car. May not be a pavement pounder, but it would be a sweet daily driver.

Joel,
Nothing against a camaro. I am supporting you. If you want it, go for it. I'd love to be able to have a cool old car to drive everyday. You could have that camaro forever. There's all the resto parts available, and the unreal amount of performance goodies. A 76 in good condition being available is rare these days.
It would definately make me stop and think how I could fit that into my life.

Oh yeah, and white is awesome on that body. What color is the interior? Is it a white on white?

does it always have to do with speed? can't it just be that you like a car for what it looks like, how it handles, how freakin cool you will look in it? i mean come on, speed is cool and all, but when you come down to it, how fast can you go on your local streets and highways?
i think it is a really cool looking car.............and at the risk of repeating myself over and over.......my son and husband both have camaros...a 79 and an 89....and they are terrific....
i say go for it pio!!

I just dont know how good of a daily it will be, i mean its old and it has a few miles on it. I would think of it more as a weekend car, but thats just me. By the way my friend has a 76 or around that year camaro. Well it has a 350 in it and an auto with a manual shift up and down option and he was running low to mid 14's at 97-99 mph I wouldn't say that they are the fastest but they arent slow either. Im personally not a camaro fan but if its what you want then buy it!
