im getting a magnaflow in a couple days, is there anything to know about the distance its mounted from the end of the tip to the bumper, like how far it sticks out? or is it just a matter of preference?

I just had mine installed, and there wasnt much of a choice of the distance it sticks out to the bumper. The tip fits perfectly at about 1/2 inch outside the edge of the bumper, atleast on my car.

It's not adjustable. It's welded onto the end of the third section of the catback system so once the system is hooked up (bolted together, etc) and placed in the hangers, it'll be where it was designed to be (give or take an inch or so depending on how the systems is adjusted underneath).

It can be adjusted, depends on how far you put the 3 pieces together. If it is a new kit it should be positioned perfect (between 1/2-1-1/2" out) but i have installed a used one, and it was like 2 inches out, and that was as far as it would go without some work...
