Lowes tool shoppers

Has anyone purchased their Kobalt wrench sets? I was looking at them online, they say they don't come with a case. But it appears they have an organizer holder by the picture?

I feel another tool debate coming on.....

Anyways, If your just looking for a set of wrenches to use every now and again, these will work just fine for you. As for the packaging it should work fine as an organizer in your tool box, but for repeated transport, not so much.

Harbor Freight is who the engineers at the hospital I work at go through. I hear they're pretty stellar.

The nice things about the newer Kobalt stuff is their warranty has gotten better and easier to use. I haven't seen much come back either.

a good amount of tools now have a lifetime warranty, I guess it depends on what breaks most often. Never used em, but if they're not too much with a good warranty, go for it.

I just picked up a Kobalt 40 piece 3/8" ratchet set for $24. We'll see how it does. Just about the perfect size to fit by the spare.

If you catch them Lowe's has some decent sales on the Kobalt stuff so you can pick up stuff pretty inexpensively. I always hate walking the sales and not having extra funds right then. :(

That's not too bad price wise on the Kobalt...you can get a metric and standard sets for $40. If you have garage space you can buy a tool box divider insert or something similar for cheap.

If you are like me and don't have a garage yet I bought a soft carry style tool bag for wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. easy to take places

this is the one I have

http://www.harborfreight.com/15-inch...rap-94993.html

I have a big craftsman ratchet set that luckily come in their own cases!

Last week I went to harbor freight for a metric set of racheting wrenches, which they had but to short= no leverage. So I went to sears for theirs, was going to get the twist handle set but no 16mm=wow. I ended up w/ a gear rachet set. Now I need a set of 6 point short 3/8 drive mm socket set w/ the easy reader markings= 8mm to 17mm. Lot of tools. Oh then I need a set of short 1/4 drive 6 point easy reader 5- 12mm socket set too. & what do you guys think of the 1/4 drive dewalt electric driver= for to use on all the covers on different cars & trucks. On a different note= Why can't Ford use 1 size bolt= 6mm or 8mm or what ever on their covers under the cars? Focus, Fusion & the F150 all use different size bolts= whats up w/ that?
