Where the heck are the Jeep rip offs?

Am I the only one who wishes small off road vehicles like the GEO Tracker and Suzuki Sidekick were still produced? I loved the hell out of my Tracker. 4 wheel drive and a blast to take off road. I beat the crap out of that thing and it never failed me. It was under powered for sure, but fun to drive. If any auto maker could produce one for around $20,000 - $23,000 and put about 160 - 180hp under the hood, I'd buy one tomorrow. No Navi or power windows, cloth top, manual tranny and 4X4. Anyone else?

I had a tracker. 2 door hard top manual. Beat the Crap out of it as well. Great mpgs extremely reliable, except it suffered from extreme frame and undercarriage rot which led me to trade for a Jeep liberty. The liberty fell apart after 2 years of me driving it so i bought the focus. I would defiantly buy another tracker though if it weren't rotting away.

They still make them just not sold in the US.

They also came in diesel.

I have a 96 Geo Traker with all kinds of new parts on it and Cal-Mini parts as well. Was getting to do a frame off resto on it when I got shipped back to the US.

I loved the Suzuki Samurai.

Guess there just isn't a big enough market for them anymore. It's all about the bottom line.

I've wheeled with some Sidekicks. I'd like to build one someday. Looks like they could maneuver tight spaces with ease. But I doubt I ever get to that. My B2 is holding down the trails just fine right now.

I search craigslist pretty regularly for unmolested samurais at reasonable prices. They are very rare.

I search for pre Chevy Trackers also and they are hard as hell to find in decent condition.

I agree, there is nothing in this segment anymore.
