Why are part prices so different from store to store?

Im wanting to replace my IAC and ive found that when i looked up a part in the past i always got a variety of prices but i dont understand why

Like the IAC for my car im about to replace, Oreiley wants $80. Auto zone ants $54. and advanced wants $107.

These prices arnt even close. i should call a few others just to see what other prices they are going for.

Different manufactors, new vs. rebuilt, and warranty.

It also depends if the store regularly stocks the item. If they carry a bunch, they keep the price low to move them.

When you say manufactors, new vs. rebuilt, and warranty

Who makes the best one? the cheapest one says 1 year warranty

I'd say if you could get a Motorcraft part, it would be a good bet.

I'd avoid anything made in China like the plague.

The longer the warranty, the better.

Are you sure you can't get away with just cleaning yours?

This is the first ive heard of the DPFE what is that?

Its a 2007 2.0 duratec. Where is it located? I go the car with about 45K and its got 51K on it now.

I did change the IAC last night and its still running the same. Its been this way since i got it. Shakes at idle. it vibrates the whole car.

Ive wondered about engine mounts also.
