opinions for trubendz exhaust?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok I am finally getting exhaust for my Focus. My last svt I put on the Borla cat back system #140018(with an orp). I really enjoyed the sound of that system.

So my question is if I go with a Trubendz will I be happy with the quality(I know there used to be some questions about that), the sound and will it last.

Has anyone ordered from Trubends lately and how was your experience?
I am thinking of the 2.5 with the 14" resonator and Borla muffler also with the money I save over the borla the 2.5 flexpipe as well.

But if the system doesn't fit right or has other issues I would rather get the Borla system.

Scott (InfraRedSVTF) recently ordered one and had nothing but problems. The fitment was horrible, the customer service sucked. I was going to go with them also until he had all his issues.

I had heard of these problems in the past and some had said they were sorted out but looks like maybe not. sounds like I will be getting a Borla, I know how great of a system that is.

Bought my 2.5" stainless system for the duratec in 2007 and could still shine it up like its new. Been on both of my duratec foci; fitment was perfect. +1 for them from me.

I have one on my '10 duratec, got a 2.5" with a magnaflo, fits ok, the sound is great though. For the price (250) I cant complain too much about the fitment being off a little.

Just got the 2.5ss and the slip joints could be a little better. Customer service was ok, but took what felt like forever to get built and shipped ... Cant wait to put it on this weekend... Ill post up results if anyone wants.

i've had the same result with them as some have mentioned, i ordered the 2.5 with just the magnaflow muffler. the order took a while for them to put together and ship. the box arrived mangled, the hangers had punched through the box, i swear fedex and ups must think that fragile is french, for "drop kick the outta of it" so i attribute one of the slip joints not fitting very well, due to abuse via shipping. had a friend that works in an exhaust shop, fix the joints. but overall i am happy with the tone of the exhaust. although it's hard to beat borla.

They told me the problems were sorted out, but when it arrived, there was no way in hell it would have even fit on the car at all. Trubendz has been no help at all, and I ended up cutting the exhaust apart and welding things on correctly to get it to fit, but a few of the bends are still a little off. When I calle, I got the vibe that they just don't care, and have no intention of fixing the problem. Illinipo also has had problems, and is getting the same run around as me. Overall, the worst fitting exhaust I have ever seen, and I have installed pretty much every exhaust system ever made for the Focus since 2001.

Bottom line is that Trubendz exhasuts may not be able to be installed by the average person in their driveway. Some people have gotten lucky, but that is becoming few and far between as of lately.

I appreciate all of your input the last thing I need is any extra aggrevation in my life so I think I will get the Borla system. I would rather have a well fitting quality system than something that is a pita to deal with.

Thanks all
