2012 SE Sport package?

Looking at 2012 SE manuals...deciding if I want to spend extra on a sport package (about $1,130 more).

What actually is added with the SE sport package option besides visual stuff?
I know you get alloys, spoiler, interior changes and rear disc brakes. Is their anything different with suspension parts? Will this car supposedly handle better than a standard SE?

You get a $235 credit when you select sport package on the SE. And, I think somebody already clarified that you would get the same performance suspension as the Titanium.

I have SE SP on order and I am also wonder why originaly FORD website stated "sport tuned suspension" but now that language is GONE.

My sales guy in Houston is checking for me.

Thank you for choosing Ford. A Chat Consultant will be with you shortly.

You are now chatting with Dustin.

Dustin: Hello, this is Dustin. Thank you for your interest in Ford today. May I have your name please?

You: Dave

Dustin: Good afternoon Dave, how may I assist you today?

You: I've ordered a SE 5-door with Sports Package. Originally the specs said "sports tuned suspension" now FORD has changed the specs.

Dustin: I see. We certainly appreciate you being a loyal Ford customer.

You: Is my suspension the same as the SE without Sports package?

Dustin: Yes, the suspension will be the same as the SE without the Sport package.

You: How can FORD just change the spec, but keep the price the same?

Dustin: Packages are subject to change throughout the model year. Our department will not be able to assist with the price staying the same, but I will be happy to give you the phone number to the department who can look into that to see if anything can be done to assist you with your troubles.

You: WTF, over.

Wow, that's lame. I can't believe they're charging the same after removing an integral feature of uhhh actually being "sporty". Unbelievable. Another reason for me not to get it. Wasn't a fan of the spoiler either. But having the rear disc brakes and leather-wrapped steering wheel would be nice. Just don't think they're worth that price.

Posted via FF Mobile Um id like to let you know that Dustin has no idea what hes talking about and sounds like a freaking robot. The SE sport package has the same suspension as the titanium. This is how its laid out...

S, SE, SEL: regular suspension
SE (sport package), Titanium: sport suspension
Titanium (handling package): touring suspension.

Names may he different but it has been confirmed that there are three different springs in the 2012 ford parts bin. Btw, check out this...

All the more reason to buy a Titanium with the 18s ;)
I was exclusively a stick driver before this, but so far so good.

Which one gives you the most comfortable ride for long drives? The stock smaller tires and suspension?

Yep. 15" or 16" wheels and stock (non-Titanium/non-SE Sport Package) springs.
