What's this For

Just bought a 2005 Focus, and inside, front passenger side, down near the floor is something with what looks like a fuel tank symbol below it. Tried to find an answer in the manual but no luck. Can anyone tell me what it is?

its a fuel cutoff switch. If the car has an issue somewhere, it can trip the switch and fuel will not reach the engine. the spot your speaking of is the reset spot. So if you ever get in your car and it will crank and not start, this would be one of the places to look, However Ive never had mine pop in 6 years so you will most likely never have to worry about it.

Yup, fuel cut off. I have had two go off. 2000 Continental tire blew and set it off and a 93 Escort hit a pothole and set it off.
