Looking for some fun mods

I've had an 02 ZTS for almost 2 years now and i was thinking of selling it, but while i was replacing the brake shoes for inspection i realized just how much i like this little car, plain and simple as it may be.

I'm thinking that i might start upgrading instead of selling. I've never had a problem with the car, but more power is never a bad thing ;)

I've read that most aftermarket headers suck unless they are the really high-end units, and i'm not sure i want to spend a ton for a minimal performance boost.

Other than that i thought about a turbo, which would be a fun mod but would also cost a good bit (i assume, i havent priced them out much).

So you guys are the pros, what would you suggest? Any mods or tweaks are welcome; I'm very mechanically inclined, so no project is too big or small for me, i just like to work.

Well a turbo is your best bet if you really wanna boost your power. Definitely get some kind of air intake, and a throttle body but if you don't mind dropping some cash definitely fit a turbo on it. Even if it is a little 8psi turbo. you can be getting like 210hp which is pretty decent for a fwd car.

as notoriousone said a turbo would be the best boost in power. but it will cost a bit. but with a CAI and bigger throttle body your car would breathe a lot better. the best header to get is the SVT header by far

Cool beans. I'm headed up to Carlisle right now so I'll keep an eye out for parts. I'm not prepared to buy a turbo quite yet but I'll start saving up. I'm not looking to make this a racer, just a little more zippy. A cai seems like a good plan for now. If can get a good deal on 2" lowering springs I might have to pick those up too :D
