I bought the new 2011 SEL Fusion. Kept my SVT though.

Congrats! It's a very nice car. Definitely beats the Accord/Camry in looks, performance, and equipment! :)

I am very happy with it. Sync, BLIS, Moon, nice radio and leather. Drives like a dream and very quiet.

Nice looking Fusion. For the most part I am very pleased with my 2010 Fusion. The concerns I have and what helped in my decision to purchase the Focus were the occasional hard shifts and transmission flaring, also the waterfall/sloshing sound from the heater core concerns me, despite what Ford engineers say. Hopefully Ford has resolved the transmission issues for 2011. Do you hear a water sound from under the passenger side dash?

The water sloshing sound may be your coolant being low in the heater core. I had a customer come in yesterday with that issue and the coolant was low in the car. Filled the system and the sloshing went away. Your transmission module needs to be reprogrammed to kill the shifting issues. After that is done you need to drive the Fusion everyday for about 2 weeks for it to complete the relearn sequence for shifting. During that time it may have an off shift several times, but will go away after relearn.

I had the reprogramming done last summer. In February I was told it shifted fine and there were no codes. I've had the coolant system purge procedure performed three times and each time after about two weeks or less the sloshing sound came back. The coolant level has stayed the same (I marked the overflow tank) throughout. It's a design problem which causes air to get trapped in the system. Check out the ford fusion forum, there have been over 1000 posts regarding this issue. Ford engineers say it's a nuisance issue and won't cause any damage.

I have had no sloshing sounds at all. The car is so quiet my son says I need to turn up the radio sound or its to quiet. I have had no shifting issues at all either, but I have less than 200 miles on the car.
