Changes in Gasoline Manual IV

I was doing some work related research and thought some of you guys might be interested in reading this too. Lots of good information but with an ethanol bias since it was put out by the renewable fuels foundation

Much useful info there, thanks for the post. My "take-away" was pretty simple though, after sifting through a good portion of those pages:

- Most modern engines are advanced enough to compensate for subtle fuel differences.
- Don't buy higher octane than recommended by your vehicle mfr.
- So THAT's why many of my cars (years past) have seemed to run smoother in high humidity/rain (high humidity has the effect of lowering the engine octane requirement).
- Obviously, if you have significant modifications, a specific-octane tune, etc then you should care more about fuel blend specs than "the rest of us"
- If you store your vehicle (or small engine) USE a fuel stabilizer OR drain/ use up the fuel

No problem it's a lot of information but I see threads on many of the topics covered in this document. Lately its been the winter gas and ethanol stuff.
