Exclamation In urgent need of 1998 v6 2.5 Contour right side engine mount

Hello all,
On my brothers contour engine mount broke. Dealer can't find a replacement.
I've called couple other dealerships and they all say that this part is obsolete.
I've found this:
http://www.partstrain.com/store/deta...Passenger_Side
I don't know if this thing will hold up over time...
Maybe somebody has or knows where to get one. Maybe some better after market solutions?

thank you very much

A Google search on "Contour engine mounts" turns up many options for new aftermarket and used/wrecking yard mounts that will meet your needs. Here's one: http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/199...ine_mount.html

A little further web research should help answer your questions about the quality of any given aftermarket supplier's parts. Hope the responses here help you in tracking down a new mount for your V-6 Contour!

Rock Auto gives FF members a 5% discount, the discount code should be in our Hot Deals and Shopping Fanatics forum at the bottom of the forum list. Just be sure you've got the most current discount code and you enter it correctly.

I checked, the price is about $9 if this part is what you're looking for. Manufactured by Anchor.

If you can, when you see the word "Anchor" relating to engine mounts, Run. Don't walk.

I've NEVER EVER had an Anchor mount work for any significant time period. My old car had one for less than a year before it tore, and my focus went through 2 anchor Hydraulic mounts in less than a Month!

thanks for replys guys.
Yeah as Usagi said, everywhere I look, seems that aftermarket mounts on average last about 2-3 month :(

I'm looking into a used one from the salvage yard.
