should i buy this focus?

black 2007. Base with manual windows and locks. svt wheels, cd player, sub, muffler, intake, hid headlights. Will something be wrong with it because of the intake i have seen talk on here about just putting an intak on focuses? Im a newb wanting to purchase a focus

BTW keep in mind if you're buying threw a private seller your taking a risk so just make sure everything checks out okay.

only the test drive will tell and a carfax report can't hurt. I would also advise removing the HID's because they are not in a projector housing; putting HID's in the stock reflector housing is dangerous and most time illegal. Putting a intake on the duratec engine is one of the best modifications for the car; just make sure you give everything a once over.

someone is selling some of his unused car fax reports on this forum.

I would at least run a car fax.

Will they let you take it to your mechanic for unspection? The car looks clean and the price is right, but it just might be a rebuilt wreck. Are they claiming to be the original owner?

Ask to see the title, make sure they are the original owner and that the title is not branded flood/salvage/ etc. Ususally Car fax will pick that stuff up, but I don't know if it 100% reliable.
