Two completely unrelated questions...

Ok so both of these questions have nothing to do with eachother and probably belong elsewhere but I figured I'd ask both of them in the same thread.

1. I'm thinking about painting my stockers for the winter seeing as I'm going to need to take my other wheels off soon. So my question is has anybody else here painted these? (I'm sure somebody has) And if so could ya post up some pics.

These are the ones I have...I'm thinking of painting them black with a red stripe around the outside to match my car.

2. This is actually a string of questions about FI. So basically I want to know about some Supercharger options for the Zetec. I know the names of lots of them but where can I get them new? I've been to the JR site and found nothing as to actually ordering a kit (do they still even make them?). So could you guys post up some links to places I can buy any of the SC kits for the Zetec? If anybody wants to tell me to go Turbo instead of SC feel free, I'm open to all advice. The reason right now I'm leaning towards SC is because I've read that they are much easier to install yourself and tend to run a little cheaper. So again with this links would be great.

Thanks

I could be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure that nobody makes a SC for the focus anymore except Procharger? Not sure though.

Forums and Ebay probably best bet. That or you check Craigslist. Might be something on there for ya.

Painting rims isn't a bad way of going, but if you want something considerably more durable you may want to look into getting them powdercoated. There's a few MI ppl (similar climate as yours) with both painted or powdercoated rims which have held up well in winters.

Your best best for a S/C is the used route. A couple fellow MI ppl had their PowerWorks S/Cs for sale, and there MAY be a Jackson Racing one floating around. I'd check the buy/sell forums here and eBay as OceanGrown suggested.

Thanks for the answers so far guys. I'd still like some pics of those wheels painted if anybody has done that. And as far as the SC go I'd never find one around my area on CL and I've never seen anything like that on Ebay so here would probably be my only option for used.

I'd also still like to know what some of the pros and cons are of the different SCs for the Zetec.

You know honestly i wouldnt waste your time paintin those winter rims. I hate the look of the those and i just dont think its worth the time and effort.

As in superchargers, the best bet is on the forum here and on focal jet. You cant find superchargers anymore on websites.(correct me if im wrong). For pros n cons, thats your call. Theres nothign wrong with them. Its weither you have the know how to install it correctly and maintain it correctly. Then you'll be gettin more power. Problem is best bang for you buck is turbo because for the price u spend on a s/c, u can get a good turbo kit.

Surf the FI section here, tons and tons of endless info.
