Unhappy Got ran off the road

Well I was coming back from Toledo on the turnpike minding my own business with cruise control on @ about 75 when all of a sudden i look over to my right and there's this Ford Escape coming into me. I lay on my horn to notify them but i guess they were in their own dizzy little world. I then swerved hard left and before i knew it i think i over corrected my quick lane change and went into that uncontrollable rhythm of moving the wheel back and forth to keep it under control.

Next thing i know i'm swerving over 2 lanes to get off the turnpike and thankfully i didn't hit anyone in the process hit the grass and go into a slide still trying to keep myself from spinning out or completely loosing it with my feet planted on the brakes. I see the person just driving off and not stopping to see if everything was OK. No one else bothered stopping either. That was one hell of a bumpy ride as the whole ride side is a huge ditch. I'm glad there was nothing there as I remember thinking the whole time (airbags DON'T deply). Seemed like it took forever for my car to finally stop.

I get out and there's dirt and grass everywhere and the whole side of the car looks like I went mudding or something. I drove back the rest of the 60 or so miles and only thing that feels off is my steering. Only because it's now a 45* angle while my car drives straight. New tie rods coming soon.

I'm so glad I didn't hit the median or anyone else. It was such a close call and I believe I did the best I could to avoid any harm to other drivers or myself. Strange that some old man did the exact same thing and almost hit me as he came into my lane probably like 15 minutes prior to this incident. I guess that orange is just invisible or something to people.... Well that's the end of that rant.

I'm really tired of Ohio already.

^^ Hmm so that's where they get that from.......

ugh I just hate stuff like this cause it shows how ignorant/careless people are, both the ones that cause the accident (luckily nothing too serious like you said) and then the people that see it but are too absorbed in their own schedule/life to bother helping.... that and it's that mentality about bigger vehicle's drivers thinking "If I get in an accident, I'LL be ok... that's all that matters"

sounds like ou need an air horn. i think the little focus horn jsut cant get peoples attention in certain areas. (thanks to sounddeadening ans cell phones, and a lack of paying attention) you should go pick up one of thiose air horn kits that gives you an insanley hjigh pitched honker. should stop your innattentive driver woes. of course you could always jsut not move. people tend to notice they hit something when they are spinning out.

I hear ya. Nobody here in AZ has an idea on how to merge. I am very surprised I haven't been hit yet. Why is it so hard for people to pay attention and care about anyone besides themselves?
