Got to drive my dad's car today and wow

Well, ever since my dad got his new car (Jaguar Vanden Plas) I've never been allowed to drive it, but I just got to today, and wow, it is so different from ANY car I've ever driven before. The first major difference I realized was how strong his breaks were, I couldn't get a smooth stop for the life of me, it seems the car is either 100% or nothing at all. But, the difference that really stuck with me over the focus was the steering.

The steering wheel basically turns itself, compared to the focus it does steer itself. After going from my focus, to his car, my first turn I almost crashed into a parked car, just because I was so used to the tight steering. Then again, that's the difference between a $8,250 Focus, and a $90,000 Jaguar.

But I don't know which I prefer, I like the tight steering on the focus, but at times I think it may be too tight, and I definitely think that the steering on the Jag is too powered. I don't know which I prefer, I kind of miss easy steering every now and then, but that steering is what made me fall in love with the focus when I first test drove one, just because its unique and makes you feel like you are in control of the car, instead of the other way around. Which do you guys prefer?

I drive crown vics for work and they have really fast steering, I much prefer the tight steering that my focus has. Congrats on getting to test drive a sweet car!

Ha I wish I could get some pics, none today though, he really wants to wash it, but I'll try to find some on google that most closely resemble his car though, if that'll do?

It's an '06 White Jaguar Vanden Plas (upgraded XJ8) it has just about every option available on the car, except DVD players in the back of the headrests, good choice to not get those in my opinion, I think they look too tacky. It has 19 inch 20 spoke rims, they're almost a gun metal grey, but not that dark. The car has almost too much room everywhere, the guy in the front seat could have his seat all the way back and I think it would still be more roomy than any other car I've ever been in.

EDIT: Until (if) I get any pictures of it, it looks exactly like this car, except in Pearl White and without the DVD players in the headrest:

And I can't really see the interior, but a lot of them don't have wood grain steering wheels, so it also would have that, in addition to all the other wood on the inside. It's an incredibly nice car.

Yeah, and the rims in the link I provided, those are only 5 spoke, he's got 20 spoke. I'm not a fan of the 20 spoke rims, but they do stand out.

That's true, they're very nice. Have you seen the 2010 XJ though? They really changed the look of it, I'm not sure if I like the change or not.

Why would you even try to compare a Jag to any echo box for that matter, Its like comparing pot roast with filet mignon
