wow...good gas mpg on the my '09 SE

Filled up today with 364 miles on the odo and after 3 or 4 clicks.....just stopped trying at the pump at 12.1 gallons.

For an automatic with city and hwy mixed....I'm really happy getting 30mpg average. Not to mention in a car I actually like driving.

This is my first Focus though or long term American car (well I plan to keep it to 100K miles) so hopefully it will be reliable.

I'm considering an extended warranty before the standard one expires...if anyone has any opinions on that one.....please chime in.

the focus is very easy on fuel and can easily exceed its epa ratings. its so funny because youll read some of the honda fit, scion xD, toyota corolla, honda civic, owners toot their horn about mpg and youre geting just the same if not better. my mtx has seen 42mpg highway stints

assuming you get 200 miles out of 12.5-11.5 gallons (also assuming u have a 13 gallon tank) that would leave you at worst of 16mpg-18mpg doing the math in my head

Ya it has to do with my Idle Air Controller and my Check engine light code of P1506. After weeks of looking I've found the IAC and it's gonna be a Bitch to get to.
