Trade 2006 ZX4 SES for 2007 Fahrenheit GLI???

I took my wife's Explorer in for service today, and while I was walking around the lot, I saw a B.E.A. utiful Fahrenheit GLI. They want just under 20k for it and it only has 14k miles on it. My car has almost 35k on it. My question is... Do you think I should try to trade my car in for it?

Here's a link to the dealers site...

So do I, and it carries over to some of the interior trim as well. That car is SOOO much nicer than my FoFo is inside and out. It has leather sport seats with very aggressive bolsters that fit my large frame quite well, and a sunroof, and it's just plain gorgeous...

It is number 410 of 1200 by the way. I love how limited the production run was. 1200 each year for 07 and 08. Won't see many in my area!

I love DSGs, a lot of people hate on them on here, but they are fun to drive, and when you get stuck in traffic, you just throw that sucker in auto...

Best of both worlds!

It looks nice and the price isnt bad. But questions you need to ask yourself. First, 35k is not alot of miles and your cars not that old. Are you done paying it off yet? Also, don't expect anymore then like 6 or 7k for your car if its in excellent condition. So if your cars paid off you'll be financing around 13k for the GLI...which is still going on 3 years old. Do you really want to go into payments? Is this a car you've been lusting over for along time? If you really want to ditch your car theres probably a better bargin out there on a similar vw or even a totally different car.

All question to think about....oh and the last one is are you going to be crying in a year or two when your driving a GLI and everyone else has their new Mkiii focus. LOL

I still owe quite a bit on my car. Back in december a Mazda dealership offered me $6500 for the FoFo. I expect that the Ford dealer would offer $7000 to $7500 for it, as they usually offer more than any other dealer around here on trades. My line of thinking is that once the FoFo is paid off, I'm gonna spend a crap ton of money on it to do it up a bit, whereas the GLI is already near perfect. I love the wheels, the body style, and the power it has. As far as lusting over it, I have always loved the GTI/GLI and this limited edition model sweetens the deal. I may go by the dealer and see just what I could work out. I just hate paying so much for such a cheap car... My payments are $435 a month. If I could work out having a nicer car for the same or lower payment, I would be a lot happier. The only problem is starting over on my payments. I guess it's nice to dream huh?
