Which Focus would you pick?

Ok, so heres whats up. We have three Foci in our family. My brother has one, my mom has one, and I have one.

Now, my moms used to be mine. Its an 06 ZX3 SE with a few extra options. Its got the SAP, a sunroof, ST gauge cluster. And a couple small things that I added to it. It is a 5 speed, and it currently has 67k miles on it.

My new Focus, 09 sedan SES, with every option available, is also a 5 speed, and has about 800 miles on it.

So heres the deal, my mom wants to trade me cars again. She would take ownership of the 09, and the 06 would go in my name. Im just wondering what you think I should do. If I should go ahead and trade her back, or try to keep my new car. Currently payments are about $400 a month on the 09, if I take the 06 back, payments would go down to about $150ish. So, do you think its worth it for me to trade back? I dont really like the hatchbacks, I dont like how they look. We bought it because it was cheap, and my other car blew its tranny. As I said, my 09 has every single option possible. And the 06 is an SE. No leather/heated seats, no ABS/ traction control, no audiophile system, no ambient lighting, no SYNC, its pretty stock. It does have power everything, it has the SAP (big plus), and a sunroof (another big plus)

What should I dooooooooooooooo

Heres pics of both of the cars.

Edit: If I was to switch, I would also switch rims. Gotta keep those EAP style rims. So keep that in mind as well...

Sell your SAP, throw stock parts on, keep profit to pay for 09 payments and keep it. Why would you trade for an older car?

trade her... with economic issues it will be easier... 400 per month compared to 150? they are both 5 spd and both red, lol... just imagine that extra 250 bucks you would be saving per month, thats could go towards some mods =)

good luck man!!!

why does your mom want to trade you anyways?

I'm biased towards the red hatchback (what I have) and the $150ish a month payment (more money to mod with muwahahahaha). It comes down to whether or not youd be happy, which is why I voted for the 09, it makes you happy :-)

newer cars arent always the best... just means more expensive to maintain. and with a $400 car payment thats rough...

I'm a hatch guy, so I am biased here. Go with the hatch.

Well the 06 isnt my car. Its in my parents name. Actually, both cars are in my parents names. So neither of them are my cars, so they could do whatever they want, but they are kinda giving me the option. $400 per month is very rough. I cant make that payment. Ill be paying closer to 300, and my parents would cover the rest. The $150 would be a lot eaiser to handle than the 400, as I am only working part time, and going to school full time. The 09 has about a 23k payoff, and the 06 has a 9k payoff. With the 09, its an 84 month lease, with the 06, its below 60. I dont know, I dont mind the hatchbacks... If I had it my way, I would have an 07 ST with SAP. Those are my pick out of all of the Foci....

Used isnt bad. Its all highway miles, and we have had the car since new. Its running perfect, and the body is near perfect. It gets better gas mileage than the 09, just doesnt have some of the luxury options. Leather seats would really be all I would like.... I like leather. But cloth would be ok.

I would go with the older car, its a hatch, you already have put some money into it. payments are cheaper. If the car has been taken care of, 67k is not bad.
