New Fusion

Looks hot, wonder if those rumors about the SVT are still alive.

Unfortunately, it appears that the 2010 Fusion won't be available with any turbocharged, direct-inject EcoBoost powertrains, but the new engines and transmission, along with the nose job, are a big step forward for Ford's already competitive Fusion.
That kills the SVT option...

Looks like a bloated 2008 Focus, IMO:

There are still rumors of its existence some say "ST" will replace the "SVT moniker to bring it in line with performance models across the globe.

All conjecture of course, we will probably never see a performance version of anything besides the Mustang ever again.

And the Fusion only comes with a 6 speed auto, as quoted in the article.

Motortrend released an online article in response to their print article this summer saying that they found that the Fusion GT has been pushed back to 2012 as apposed to 2010 as originally anticipated. Sad news

However check out the nav screen

At least Ford didn't leave us in the dust, I could live with the enhanced 3.0L or the 3.5L V6; it could give a the new Nissan Maxima a hissy-fit .

I think the thing is nice. They are finally bringing out an engine with real power
