Except for your side steps, looks identical to my wife's '03 Explorer (XLT, w/ V-6 though). Always wondered how quick the V-8 is. In certain situations, the 6 seems to struggle. If I was towing a lot, I woulda had a V-8.
I'm also kicking myself for not spending a few more dollars back then for the sport package. It gave you 17" machined alloys (instead of those 16" wierd alloys we have); the charcoal area on the lower third was painted rather than textured / color impregnated (looks MUCH better); and probably hade a few other things I now can't remember.

I have a friend who's wife picked up an Expedition ordered for the DEA. The dealer had 2 blue Expeditions, one DEA, one normal. Needless to say the DEA was not happy with a standard Expedition. However, Kelly was very happy with the law enforcement truck. How many of those do you know of with 32v DOHC V8's? It supposedly gets outrageous fuel economy also- mid to high 20's. It's a shame Ford doesn't scrap all the SOHC and 3 valve versions of their engines and just go DOHC for all engines.

Have you looked under the engine cover to see what you have Knox? I'll bet it's a Cobra engine. What's the engine code on the VIN?
