Supercharger?

With both options discontinued, would you guys be interested in making a new supercharger kit in the 2500-3500 range? I know of a lot of people like myself that would love to have a medium amount of boost without the matinence and money involved in a turbo build up, much like the old JRSC kit was.

Interested?!? Yes. We have dabbled in supercharger kit development quite some time ago, but shelved the project when we were commissioned to work on a tubular manifold turbocharging kit for a client in Colorado. We could discuss this with potential for the future.

The kit we were developing was to be a partial DIY kit, utilizing a customer sourced used or rebuilt SC from the GM 3.8V6 lineup, which was either an Eaton M62 (similar to the SVT JRSC and Powerworks kits) or the Eaton M90 (which would be an Extreme setup for the Focus).

The benefit of using these sourced units is that they are plentiful and are reasonably priced as a rebuilt unit. Also a sandwich-style Air-to-water intercooler would be available as an option from another distributor.

I think at this point in time I would encourage you to look at the remaining options. I believe there are still a few unopened/unsold kits floating around. Check on Powerworks, JRSC, Procharger, and Vortech.

But certainly in the future we are interested in designing a SC kit. I am fond of roots and screw-type SC's.

Cheers,
Brian

That would be great, the only reason I asked is because I've only found one powerworks kit left and I don't have the cash for it at this moment and centrifugal units don't interest me that much. What about Rotrex superchargers? Thanks for the input!

Rotrex SC's actually are a really neat design. That may be a SC unit we would consider. Our R&D process is much different than most companies. I can tell you that the products that we have and will develop are going to be significantly different from our original idea(s) due to our R&D process. One thing we are committed to is spending the time and energy necessary to develop the best solution for the problems at hand.
