Woo-hoo! Joining the Euro club!!!

So, after I got past the shock of this packaging job (from the UK!)...

("Is it broken? Is it BROKEN!?"....)

(No, it's not a dinosaur bone.)

... I was pleasantly surprised to see that she seems to have made it just fine.

Hopefully, I can tolerate the lighter-than-CD-Silver Moondust Silver, AND figure out a front-signal solution until I can spring for HIDs or ST170 LIGHTS.

You can always cut the blinkers out of the stock grill and zip tie them behind that grill, my lil bro did it back in the day. If you look real close it looks a tad rigged, but it looks way better then the stock grill & light combo.

I have the same grille. Got mine from CFM. No paint though.

Yeah, that's the solution I'm pondering, although I want to find another stock grille to cut (or maybe some other turn signals - maybe even the pillbox solution).

Then again, I've never seen that done with THIS grille (only the earlier Euro grille with the tighter honeycomb pattern - which I think hides the jury-rigged lights better than this prolly will).

Whatever. I may just spring for some ST170 lights soon, 'cause I love 'em.

I got it from a British dude on eBay. Yeah, there used to be a number of places that offered them pre-painted in OEM ST170 colors, but they're getting harder to find.

Unfortunately, although I have yet to hold this up next to my car, it is my understanding that Euro "Moondust Silver" is a bit lighter than our "CD Silver," so I may break down and have it painted anyway. Still, mjmallon's pics of his car with the same grille look pretty good...

Actually, believe it or not, this is prolly NOT the grille you got from c-f-m. This is the ST170 grille, which has a removable, paintable surround. As far as I know, c-f-m only carried the original Euro grille (with the tighter honeycomb), and the Euro "facelift" grille (yours?) that looks exactly like this but doesn't have the separate paintable frame. (At least I believe it doesn't - that's what I've always read on here and elsewhere, although I've never actually seen one in the flesh...)

Whatever.
