Dodge and Chevy can do it....? FI ! ftw!
Yes they are and thats why money will most likely be going somewhere other than Ford next time. No offense but rims just aint gonna do it for us that crave something more than looks.

For being so soon after launch I give Ford kudos for listening to the press & 'Net nerds.

This is actually very unusual for a U.S. auto manufacturer to make these kind of changes to a vehicle that's only been out one year (meaning the new body 2008). Normally, the only thing you might get is a couple of new paint colors, and maybe some rearranging of the option packages.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Tom - as I understand it, the new bumper facias / dark argent grill / 17" alloys will only be applied to the coupe model. Does the '09 sedan get any of this?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
If not, the parts should bolt right up to the sedan anyway, if anyone is so inclined.

It's a step in the right direction, and I guess most of the time you must take small steps to make big progress. Wheels are cool, really like the tail thing, really like the color of the not-so-chromey grill (matches the wheels).

Still not a fan of the shape of the front end--e.g. the headlights and the lines on the front. The bottom grill and bumper look great, but the headlights and top grill just don't jive with me.

Also I think the car sits a little too tall and there is a little too much body panel on the sides.

Rear end looks great!

Quick photoshop job, lowered suspension, messed with both upper and lower grills, headlights, front of the hood line, shaved door handles, shaved the upper body side ridges, and tinted the rear windows

BELOW IS THE BEFORE PICTURE

I like the 2008 front facia I think it gives it a stronger appearance stance. Still looks good should give the SES a "Millennial Package" upgrade option with a two tone hood roof trunk top paint job kind of like the 2008 steeda with matching colored rims and perhaps a different interior trim for the package. It would turn more heads on the road and the cost to do would not be much perhaps about $400 more a car and sell the package for like $1200. Then a separate sport tuned suspension option but only if you buy the "Millennial Package". Then a body kit package but only if you buy the "Millennial Package" "sport tuned suspension". Also a 18" rim option on SE and SES models. The car would then probably be around $24000 which i know the Millennials would buy!

If Ford could put together a package together that would include a full mesh grill or blacked out grill, lowered suspension kit, CAI and maybe a special edition paint and interior job, I'd say it'd probably sell rather well. Just my 2 cents on it. Maybe get together with FocusSport, Steeda, Saleen or Roush and do a limited run package. I know I'd buy one.
