where's the spare

I just bought a 08 Focus and the darn thing hasn't got a spare(what a crock).I've got a can of latex and a air compressor under the trunk compartment. The manual doesn't even mention it.

Spare tire in the 08 Focus is an option.

Thats all you get buddy, it's one of fords ingenious "weight saving" measures.

If I remember correctly its only a option for the car and you have to order it from ford when you build your car.

Haha and I bet they charge an outragous amount for the spare tire option.. and probably keep the tire repair stuff too.. they really drain every penny they can huh.. sad..

Anyone think this is a good idea? I've actually considered ditching my spare for a can of fix-a-flat and free towing through my insurance. I've only had one flat in 10 years, but the weight saving (gas and power) are something I would experience every day.
