I highly doubt that, BMW is not one to cut corners like that.

According to the article, the ones with minor damage will be repaired and sent to dealers. Count me in as one of the people who, were I so lucky as to be waiting to get my new M3, would not want to know I might be getting a repaired "new" car. That sucks for BMW. Not as bad as all the Volvo XC90 SUVs that went sleeping with the fishes, though.

i'm sure there would be mark downs on those cars that were "lightly" damaged...because it's in the computers....cant really escape that. sucks for the ppl that ordered theirs new and have to wait even longer...i'm sure bmw hooked them up with something...sheesh it's bmw...like a free trip to germany to nourenbourg (sp) or something. if it was ford...id be a diff story...ud never get ur car lol.
