Dealership bull-sh...Laugh at this

I went to my local Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealership a while ago (before I did my exhaust) to test drive a 2.0 Duratec '05 Focus sedan so I could see if there was a big difference between that and mine (2.3). Anywho, I took it to a closed/untraveled road and floored it up a mild grade with my fiance and brother and another girl in it and it creeped up to just over 70 and would not go faster. When I got back to the dealership I told the girl about it and she just looked at me and said "I think that's just because the engine isn't completely broken in yet". I told her that the car had about 2300 miles on it and that my car flies through those speeds with the same people in it. She then repeated her first answer and said that the cars should be about the same - just theirs wasn't broken in yet. I reiterated the fact that my car makes additional power anyway but she simply shrugged it off and said once the car is broken in they will be about the same because they are both Focus'. I just said, "Well, I'm sorry but you are wrong; you need to get your information straight and I am not pleased with your closed-mind." I left and a few weeks later got a phone call from them asking if I knew when I would be ready to buy..."nope I like my car - bye"

I had my car inspected with my custom shifter and my "back up" lights installed. The dealership where I bought it was to do the inspection and it is owned and operated by a bunch of very conservative older men. I got my car back and they said they failed it because even though the back-up lights are on a separate switch they interfere with the brake lights. Also they failed it because with my shifter on "you can't even tell what gear you're in". I took it to the shop 1/4 mile down the road (a very reputable, high-tech place) and they passed it with a new set of tires. Go figure.

Yeah Dealerships are retarded.... I personally went a few weeks ago to look at the new Foci, and I was informed that I should wait until the New 08' SVT focus' came out.

So hypothetically if I waited for the new SVT Focus to come out I would never buy a car from them? --And that is Why Ford is doing so poorly.--

Stealerships are like that. Ignorance of the product, predatory mindset, arrogance and intimidation are all components of a successful Stealership employee.

A couple of weeks ago, I took my wife's new Rav4 in for it's first service and asked the guy to adjust the parking brake. He calls me back and "informs" me that it's going to cost $115 for the parts and labor to fix the problem. I explain to him that it's a new car, this is the FIRST service and it's been like that since I bought it NEW. He explains to me that customers are 'tards and don't know how to operate a parking brake without breaking it and I would have to pay for the repairs. I asked for his supervisor and got it fixed under warranty; who's the 'tard here?
