2.5 or 3.0???

I know a v6 will fit in th focus but which v6 is it? The 2.5 duratech or the 3.0 duratech?

I just wanna check this out see how much it would cost overall.

don't do it man ur car is a Focus ok once u do that its not a Focus anymore plus for how much bang u would get from the transplant u could get from boltons for probably less

redragone has done it. if you find his s/n send him a PM. and i still consider it a focus, regardless of the engine. a focus with an SPI is still a focus.

i know people have done it but i think that aswell as putting a v8 in a Focus is dumb

The 2.5 will work. There is a kit made for the Contour that converts the 2.5 to 3.0. It is a lot of work though

V-8 dumb in a focus? Wow.. I want that cobra motor focus for my own!! that is just to cool. I think it is perfect for performance... but your right, it would cost a lot. A V-6 focus would be a great compromise. My dads duratec V-6 contour moves pretty good, and is as smooth as silk running. Good fuel milage too. I think ford should put the V-6 in from the factory to compeat with the jetta

personally i love the idea of making a 4banger fast. but i still think that a v8 focus would eat most cars alive.

there are several V6 foci, i think www.zx3tuning.com has a kit, there was a ford experimental V6 focus as well, i can post the article if you want and i can find it

do as u please once u do that it is no longer a focus in my mind and no one will ever get a thumbs up from me for putting a v8 or a v6 in a focus.
