Best Quote I Have Read Yet Regarding The '08 Focus..

Was perusing the, I think latest Autoweek today. It was the "Buyer's Guide" issue.

Anyway, they gave a quick synopsis of the "new" '08 Focus. Overall a luke warm review of the car, But the last thing they had to say was just priceless IMO.....

"A fancier wrapper doesn't make us forget about the Euro-spec Focus"

Hmmmmmm, makes me wonder if they frequent this site sometimes....

Does that mean older than 20?????. I do admit that Ford has taken away some of the attraction of the car 2.3 engine and ZX3 body style. I'm 72 and have both, and I'm not afraid to use everything it's got. The car's I've had would make your mouth water....

Amazing, i must be really old at 25 then.

OR maybe, just maybe they might be trying to bring the focus up to to par with any other eco box? Or give it a better name? The new focus is really nice for an eco box. Which after all, is what these cars are. Cheapish commuter cars so people dont put 50,000 a year on a nice car.

Anytime i say 'I drive a focus' currently, people say the same thing "Why not X car instead, the focus is a POS cheapo car".

When is everyone on this site and fj, going to realize that "enthusiasts" and people who loath the euro-spec focus are so far and between that Ford doesn't care if you never buy one of their vehicles again, because above mentioned peoples are out number 10 to 1 by people who want affordable TRANSPORTATION

key word transportation
