Futurity Race: PZEV vs SVT

For those of you who have the new Focus Fanatics Magazine....

I have been reading through it at work, and I got to the comparison between the pzev and the svt. now i must say, since i saw the cover, i have been looking forward to this comparision test.

So, after reading through the rather boring 8 page article (including pictures), and after having to read a few parts a couple times to translate from performance magazine mumbo jumbo to english, i discovered that the pzev has more torque, and the svt has a better mid and high end and better handaling. Didn't we know that already? to me this just seemed like an article written to take up space.

sorry for the rant, i will go back to my magazine.

I wasn't overly impressed with that article myself. I did like the 2 tables so that a lot of the general info could be had all at once and in numerical form, but I didn't learn a whole lot I didn't know (mostly from poking around FF). And although I think the SVT is a great car, I also thought they were slightly harsh on the 2.3, although I could be biased...

yeah, i think you are a little biased. they said a lot of good things about the pzev. if i had to say they were harsh on something, i would say its the standard 2.0 zetec. they just ripped it up and down comparing the pzev to it, which i do not really understand, since this was supposed to be pzev vs svt

True, there was some ragging on the 2.0 that wasn't really relevant to the discussion.

Well, i just finished reading the rest of the magazine, and i must say, it definatly redemeed itself. I guess i was just upset at that one article. but for the most part, i liked the magazine. ok, i am done now.

SVT is still better... Seems to me they took some left-over SVT seats and parts and tossed the PZEV (ST) together! lol
