new to ford

Hey I'm new to ford and I may be purchasing a 2003 ZX5.
I was wondering if there is anything I should know about it? Is there anything to look out for,is it easy to custumize, performance, stuff like that?
It has 58,000 miles and is a five speed. This will be my first car that I have purchased (not first car,92 dodge shadow was my first). So any feed back about it would be great!

Thanks

are you buying it from a Ford dealership? if not, get the VIN and have a Ford dealer run it for you to check the history of the car, work done on it ...etc.

Hope you're one of the few lucky ones who has the luxury of a 2.3 Duratec under the hood....If you paid under 8g's your doing good.

Things to look out for, mostly general maintenance. If you know a good mechanic have him look the car over before you purchase. Mike (B16) on here works for Ford and can run the VIN and give you the report.
One of the more common problems, search for ignition cylinder. If you swap to the new style cylinder before you have a problem it's not a hard fix. If you wait too long with a problem the cylinder will lock up and need to be drilled out.

And welcome aboard!
