Tricky cruise control

Ok so i just got another ST after crashing my other one, and the same thing with the cruise control. Im not sure if its broken or it just works like it does. There are 3 buttons on the right side of the steering wheel that says RES below that its ACC than below that is cruise. well from what i understand RES is slow down which did nothing on both of my ST's, than ACC which dose accelerate me, than below that is Cruise which slows me down. Is this how it works on all ST's or is my broken?

x2!

also "Cruise" is actually "Coast" (abbreviated CST IIRC) which does indeed slow you down.

FYI, each touch of the ACC or CST buttons will change your speed by 1 mph. I think Ford is the only company that this is true for.

My SI increases the speed by 1 mph as well.

Arg, lousy Honda, always one-upping everyone

I just had a look at my car... it doesn't say CST or any acronym/abbreviation, it says "COAST" in big letters! How did you mistake that for "Cruise"??

The dodge at work put the miles up at increments of 1mph for the cruise...

of course it also has a picture of a car with a door open on the dash when you open the door...NOT a truck...
