Angry pulled over

I was passing a truck in my svt 03, I down shifted and went around him, and a cop stopped me. He got me for my exhaut being to loud, tinted windows, no front plate, and speeding at 48 in a 35. For tint alone the citation was 385 dollars. ouch.

Well your tint, front plate and exhaust(is it aftermarket??) are all fix it tickets. Here in Cali after you fix the prob you only have to pay $10 per citation. The tint they will make you fix even if you pay the full fine. If your exhaust is stock you are compleatly off the hook with that one, You just have to prove it to the CHP. Which is rather easy since it should still have the lunch box and only connent (be one peice from the flex pipe back) at the flex pipe.

solution: Don't buy an overly loud exhaust, follow tint laws in your area, put on a front plate, and don't speed!

true but I bought the car at a FORD dealership, and the dealership can not determine if the tint is manufactured, so I am in a big dispute about the tint, I am trying to get the delership to pay the citation and pay to have the tint removed if possible.
Basically they sold me a illegal car, and being new to hawaii I trusted them, because they were a cert. FORD delership.Car is to nice to give up.
any thoughts?

yeah that sounds so incredibly easy to get a cop to come out and get down on his knees and look at your car and tear up a ticket. like takin candy from a baby i bet!

Thanks for the WONDERFUL advice... how did we ever get by without it

Most police will pull you over for something like speeding.... and then they pick away until they find more things... it happens every day.. and usually there nothing you can do about it... it all a part of the game.

What exhaust you running? If it's stock they can't do anything about it. As for the tint and front plate. You can just man up and pay the fine, leave them on/off and hope it doesn't happen again. Or things like this are more of a fix-it ticket. Meaning if you put a plate back on and pull the tint off and replace with something legal you should be fine. The speeding you are probably stuck with though. I got a front plate ticket once, had been like 5 years combined between 2 cars of not having one. I didn't argue with the cop cause I was actually doing like 70-75 in a construction 55 on the highway and he didn't even mention that. Good luck
