2015 Focus Wagon build thread, aka "WhiteWalker"

Hallo guys :)

I am here registered for a longer time so i have decided to introduce my toy :) i have a long list of modification so hopefuly i will be able to do them all - the only thing which slows the process is budget and time of course since i have a little kind on board. :D

But i will post here regular updates.

2015 Ford Focus MK3 FL 1.5EB wagon / color Frozen White
As you maybe know here in Europe the stronger version of Focus is enquiped with the 1.5 ECOBOOST engine (i guess in US you have it in Ford Fusion)

Wheels:
still factory 17" OEM Ford + tyres*ContiSportContact 3 215/50 R17 95W

MODS done:
  • J1 Performance Air filter w secondary cone and fitting disc
  • Zetec-S body packet
  • Unofficial engine factory software update from 150HP --> 182HP
  • Yellow brake callipers
  • Sport stainless stell car pedals and foot rest
  • ST gear knob
  • E-RMM
  • rotors + calipers from ST
  • Throttle body spacer by Boombaracing
  • BOV adapter by Boombaracing
  • Snorchel delete + RS air box
  • wheels 17" US Titanium model

MODS planned:
  • stainles steel exhaust with DUPLEX muffler
  • adding factory*BLIS system
  • adding factory rear camera
  • mud flaps
  • wind deflectors
  • black roof + wing mirrors (i will do a wrap)
  • individual chip tuning to gain 200HP - STAGE1
  • Hybrid turbo for STAGE2 (must find a solution for intercooler first)
  • Downpipe with sport cat
  • SYNC 2 --> SYNC 3
  • Also would love to change the INTERCOOLER for a better one but unfortunately have no idea how because in 1.5EB we already have a water IC and not standard air-to-air IC as it is in 1.6EB

And a few pictures:

Stock:

After sport package:

Opened performance air filter by J1 Performance:

Sport pedals + footrest:

that looks awesome!

Will be keeping a definite eye on here...

as far as a water-to-air IC, have you looked at companies that build supercharger systems? For example, i know here in north america, Vortech had a water/air IC available, though, i have not seen a company advertising a water/air IC for a long while... ...

Nice, I love the wagon... I really wish they'd bring them here to the States.

That front end looks great. Is the grill swap also part of the "sport body packet"?

Thanks for the i will check that company. Ford decided to add Water/air IC i think because even after i shut the engine down...i can hear a water pump for a few minutes pumping water through the system that cools the turbo. But that is only my opinion.

Ford in EU is providing the sport packet under new name "ST LINE" and yes the packet consists of: st side skirts, st wing spoiler, front gloss black grill, gloss black fog lamp covers, body color rear bumper with gloss black diffuser, body color front lip

will do more pics next week :)

That's not a water to air intercooler, just the turbo aftercooling as used on the 1.0 Ecoboost. I'm sure your 1.5 is the same if you hear the pump.

Guess you are right...find this in one article:
http://www.autoblog.com/2013/04/11/f...4-f/#continued
The 1.5-liter EcoBoost is the first engine from Ford to incorporate a computer-controlled clutch on the belt-drive water pump, which further improves efficiencies by reducing warm-up time. A water-cooled charge air cooler is added to offer a more efficient feed of air into the engine.

Hadn't heard of that one previously, the electric pump on the 1.o for cooling after shut down is a different item.

From your description it sounded like the 1.5 used that as well.
