After more than one month:

- RS block with crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods : ORDERED
- Turbo - exhaust system (original RS) have been bought recently
- Intercooler - oilcooler, piping system are under planning.
- ecu, still bigbig questions.

Questions to you:

standard MAF: enough to work with double airflow?
which maf shall i buy which is compatible with original and capable of handling double airflow?

what size of injectors shall i use for 300 hp?

worth to buy seanhyland's: intake manifold + thorttlebody + cylinder head?

i just want to put the car together with cca 220 hp, later will buy all the others.

what clutch do you recommend? (this is the most important now)
thx guys!

From what I've seen on here, the stock MAF is fine in turbo applications, however going to something bigger allows you to push the turbo further since the ECU is getting more accurate information. I'd also look into a blow-through MAF setup so the MAF is metering the compressed charge, again increasing accuracy and allowing you to push your setup further.

If you're serious about 300 WHP, I think 60 lb/hr injectors are what you need (not sure if that's how they're labeled over there.) However, bear in mind that only so much power is manageable through a FWD system...pushing that much, you could easily be spinning your tires through 3rd gear, meaning you'd be wasting a lot of power.

Again, I'd suggest posting in the Focus-Power subforum or PMing/e-mailing Tom (1turbofocus on here.) He used to build turbo kits and is the resident turbo expert.

You are right. I will go for the RS original MAF, it seems that i can buy with some guarantee trick on the price of the normal one. 60lb/hr seems to be more than enough. The main goal now to start the engine and use a turbo. Now i only have the original rs exhaust and turbo and manifold with all small parts i need.

Later will buy a bigger turbo to get 300 whp with all wheel drive. For fwd the max is 250-280bhp which is quite enough to learn how to drive this car. I dont want to die on the first day ;)

I took some pics about the short block, enjoy 'em gentlemen:

Next week i will install the engine, meanwhile have to prepare the paper work (here in europe we use both the vin and motorcode).

In the next few weeks i wont be able to spleep, just thinking of the development of my car ;)

Thx ;)

At the moment will use the stock ones (RS has the same stock ones).
Later if we are over 250 hp i will change them accordingly ;)

Still have to get a clutch.
What do you recommend guys?

RS has AP racing clutch, we have a guy here with an RS over 350bhp and the clutch is died after 5000 km-s. Now he is using a sinter one which is fine but not for daily use.

4wd:
- gearbox house of Mondeo '97 4x4 (same as mtx75)
- 4wd extension of Mondeo '97 4x4
- shaft of sierra 4x4
- custom made rear suspension, springs on the absorter, custom knuckle, etc.

Won't be an easy game.. but lets see first how the turbo charged engine is working ;)
I will put 4wd in the next year with other engine mods to reach the adequate power and tourqe.

you can look for an AP then, but ofcourse a model which can handle 350-400hp and Tq...

if thats the gearbox i know it can handle max 300hp...

anyhow the 4WD system with an engine position like focus is very hard to convert...

cant wait to see the RS engine installed :))

I mite go for a starforce clutch, not so expensive but i dunno whether ist capable of handling over 300bhp. The inside of the gearbox remain, i will keep everyting but the house which can receive the extension for 4x4. But we have planty of time to plan this.

Hehe, neither do I ;)
Will have to wait a week or so...

But will take lot of pix ;)

Just checked the block. I have an extra hole on the back nearby the oil filter. TIS says that this is the oiling for the turbo :-)
