More Plastidip fun

Decided it was time for a new color on the GT. Originally did it last Dec and learned a lot over the last year so we peeled it back to the horrible factory paint and started over.
This is how it has looked for the last year. Nebula Red over Black Cherry.

Ready for new color

Black base down

Mixing the pearls

And the reveal. Phoenix pearls with a touch of Nebula Red over a black base.

The dd's together

Product costs run $250 for basic colors. $300+ for pearls. For install at a shop expect $500-700 for basic colors, more for other finishes or pearls. I have 15 hours labor in a normal vehicle spread over 2 days.

Another project I finished this weekend. Satin black.

Also did some wheels for another Mustang. If weather will clear up I'll have finished pics

Just clean them very very well. Completely dry them. First coat very light. Wait 15 minutes and apply a heavier coat. Repeat several times (I like 5-6 coats of heavy coverage)

If it's on the outside you can wetsand. Start with 600 and keep moving up to 1500. Finish off with rubbing compound. Then the best thing is to have them cleared with automotive clear coat.
