2008 ses

Well this is going to be the beginning of hopefully a very productive thread. Still new to the forum in general so please be patient.

I have a 2008 Blue SES which I purchased in 2010 for my wife. I had been commuting to work via rail so there was no need for me to have a car or even drive this one. Well after changing jobs and my wife just being done with any Ford product I have inherited a car that I like and plan on turning into my little project car. I haven't worked on cars since I was in high school and thought this is the car I am going to take and rekindle my love for cars.

The car has 132k for the mileage and has some history behind it. In early 2011 the car was in two accidents. One the front drivers side was hit by a car that was spun around in an accident. It hit hard enough though to were the transmission was rebuilt by the insurance company. About 4 months later the car was rear ended. Nothing too serious but the rear bumper had to be replaced as well as the original trunk for the car. That is the short version of the history for the car.

Right now I'm looking at different ideas for the car. I am going to check all of the mechanical components to make sure everything is in good working order before doing any mods to the car.

Any website where I might be able to locate some interesting parts for the car would be appreciated

Thanks for any and all feedback
