Boy you aint kiddin' about that one lol. I owned a 2003.5 Sunlight Silver Metallic and I loved that thing to death. Felt like an AWD car most of the time. I guess that's why they called it the WRX before the WRX.

Holy no post in a long time. Major updates on the MSP.

Also, picked up some kyb gr-2 excel shocks 'n' struts for the focus to replace the stockers that have 93k on them O_O as well as some raybestos replacement bushings for the trailing arms.

My focus rolled 98,000 miles and was feeling quite sloppy. So, I picked up front bearings, ball joints, axles, tie rod ends, sway bar links. Turns out there was a whole lot of play in the old bearings and I had to heat up the hub to get the outer race out. The inner hub was looking nasty so I powder coated it with some splatter black and pressed in the new bearings. Put undercoating on the LCAs as well. Bushings in the LCAs looked fine so I left those alone.

In other news, my MSP is tucked away for the winter. Sadly. I was able to take it to one of the last autox events to get some seat time with the new setup. It definitely needs refined. My rear brakes were locking up before the fronts. I've got a proportioning valve to put in now to help tune that. A buddy and I cut a vent into the hood to help alleviate temperatures while staging. I have yet to put a baffle on the front so the air won't just rush in while the car is moving. Need to put a center brace in the middle of the windshield to stop it from flexing.

Cheers

So, I filled my transmission up with gear oil last night. I started the focus and the dome lights kicked on momentarily after it turned over. Weird.
