Yeah I just went to see if they had a black one to test drive. And sure as shit they just got this beauty off the truck with 60 miles on it. I was sold.
Those wheels are the 17" se appearance package ones. Gunmetal Gray. I wanted something with more of a lip. But everything I want that works is spendy. So I just want to push the ones I have out a little bit.
I can't say, definitively, either way. But spacers do the work of purchasing a new wheel with a different offset, so negligible, if at all. As long as you're not auto-crossing it I would venture a no. There are a lot of Fofo owners on this board that run spacers to achieve a look, both lowered and un-lowered.
You stole my idea CvRyder!!! [neener]
just kidding... but seriously I almost thought nobody else had thought of it haha.
Anyways, i'm planning on doing it too. I ordered gunsmoke film from Lamin-x that blocks out 12% of light. I'm guessing you used a higher percentage? What is it?
i also ordered the tail lights vinyl (also gunsmoke - 12%).
I'm starting to wish I got the smoke (17% light block).... but i'm sure it will be fine.
Actually I was more ghetto. I used straight black vinyl and heated it up and stretched it out until could see through it. So it's Way black. I want to use the laminx stuff though. Let me know how yours turns out
hey so I used carbon fiber vinyl to trim some of the chrome inside - the top of the shifter, the shift button/s, and the hand brake. Tell me what ya'll think. ( excuse the crappy picture quality ;P )
The reason I did it is because I don't like that much chrome on the inside, plus it makes my hand sweat when i'm holding the shifter, and I hoped that the carbon fiber would help, and it did - hand doesn't get as sweaty
I couldn't tell if you if you liked it or thought it was lame haha:
"Yeah! You should start a thread about it. Post your lame carbon fiber stickers on there."
You said "yeah!" implying you agreed with the previous statement which was "pretty awesome."
Then you said "lame carbon fiber".
You forget to take your bi-polar meds or something? [nutkick] [joke]
No, I used a heat gun and a rubber wedge to push it in.
