Gurkpimpin's car build
I got this car from my dad he overhauls focuses he picked it up in Detroit for $300 The body needed some work and the rocker panels started to rust it had a single split port with a blown engine..I recently totaled my 01 wagon on black ice so he swapped the engine from that car to the new car its a 2.0 Zetec
Got the car up and running drove it about 100 miles then it died had it towed home car sat there for weeks couldn't figure out was wrong with mean while I bought a SAP kit for 300 brand new just needed paint dad finally figured out the problem the wires on the back of the engine melted to each other so it shorted that all fixed car is now running great.

Future Plans for car this year are
1) Tinted tail lights and Side Markers
2) New Headlights think halo with projection
3) A Good Interior Cleaning
4) New Center Bezel
Next Spring/Summer
1) Rims and Tires
2) Lowering kit maybe 1in to 1.5in cause of snow
3) Sound System Gotta get rid or the factory
5) CAI - Need a Good One Guys
6) Round Fog Lights Like The Ones On The 06 Sedans Custom Fit Into Bottom Grille
7) Snow Tires For Old Rims And Clean Old Rims Up And Shoot Some Paint On Them
8) Body Work has Scratches dent and some rust starting on the driver fender taken care of.

After the SAP Was put on

Nice start! But that is not the SAP(Street Appearance Package), that is the Street Edition lip kit, more commonly known as the Ford Accessories. Keep checking the BST forum for machs or ST170's, the machalikes and any other aftermarket lights do not have good output(speaking from experience). For wheels and tires - check tirerack, they do have a lot of nice-looking wheels. For the CAI, the best intake that you can get(dyno-proven) is the SVT snorkel, airbox with a K&N drop-in. Round foglights do not flow well with the bodylines of our generation - don't do it(unless you got pics or proof as to how good they look). But I would start with bodywork and general maintenance before starting to mod[thumb]

Glad you put a Zetec in it!

My dad is a tech at ford I know how to properly maintain my cars my first focus still running and now has 265000 mi on it original motor and trans thanks for the correction but sap and street edition are the same thing they both add a appearance to the car..

calebstubstad 11-26-2012 07:03 AM

They both add appearance but scrolling down a bit on this page shows it is two different kit, the SAP being alot more desirable.
but yes they are just body kits.
main difference is street edition is more bolt on, where SAP is completely different bumbers, not the front has round fog lights and also the vertical side markers, and the wing on the rear end

GreySkorpion 11-26-2012 07:04 AM

They are not the same, SAP is Street Appearance Package, found on 05-07 models. Street Edition is found on models before 05. I am not here to argue, simply inform, thats why we are all here. Goodluck with the build!
