My new 2000 Kona

After having to let my 2007 Screaming Yellow ZX3 go back to the bank in March, I was devastated, but I saw this on the corner today. My brother fronted some of the money to get this 2000 Green Ford Focus ZX3 Kona Edition for $1000 today. So far I know it needs a new(er) MAF sensor (it's throwing code P0112 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input) to pass smog, an upper transmission mount, and a front passengers side endlink. The front end also has some minor damage from a low impact accident and needs a front grill, possibly a hood latch, a cowl and a bumper cover.

Great find.

Kona's are getting rare now-a-days.

What's the difference between Kona and regular?

Konas came with a special edition kona mountain bike, bike rack, seat covers, floor mats, and side moldings. Other than it no different than a regular ZX3. They can be highly collectable if you can find one with everything still with it. The bikes are always the hardest to find. Plus you can get one of the best colors on the kona the dirt brown.

Besides the dirt brown the side moldings are my favorite feature of the kona i'd love to get a set made for the sedan.

Great find and price as long as it doesn't take too much money to fix. I love the green.

Great find! Needs a little TLC but don't all of our cars at some point lol. I have a used MAF sensor that works perfectly if you want it. $15 plus shipping and it's yours.
