^^a few members of Team Focalize

So I have been a member of FF for almost 4 years now and FINALLY decided to do a build thread.
So here goes.
I was driving on July 4th, 2008, in my 1994 Toyota Camry, and the throttle got stuck. Long story short, threw a rod and punched a cell phone sized hole in the block.
I got my 2004 Black SVT in July of 2008. I bought it from Carmax, and got ROYALLY SCREWED on the price. But all things considered, I don't mind because I love it. It's my baby and gets more attention than my girlfriend. [shhh]

Its been through a few stages, and sadly I can't find the pic from the day I bought it. Sticker showed 11,600, after financing and warranty, I ended up paying 18k for it. I had no down payment, and it was my first car purchase. Like I said, I got screwed but i still love it.

Mod List:
Exterior (as it sits)
Green HID's for lows
Matching HID's in fogs
Fogs covered in Lexan and nightshaded
Eyebrows
Roush Midwing
Custom "diffusers" on SVT spoiler
Billet Gas Door
Side Exit Exhaust
Center exit SVT diffuser
Shorty Antenna
Green LEDs in grills
Euro Grill

Interior
LED's for floorboards (green)
purple leds in cupholders
Kenwood Excelon double din touch screen
PS2 in glovebox
Kenwood Excelon complete stereo

Performance:
Tom's Tune
ORP
Megan Racing Springs
KYB AGX shocks/struts
CFM Adjustable STS

this pic sums it all up, minus the misspelling.

I apologize for not having a "timeline style" thread, I just posted as things came to my mind.

^^As of a month ago.

In the first year, I did tint. I drove it that way until I blew the Audiophile sub in the back. It then got replaced with the stereo out of my old car. All Kenwood Excelon.. CF speakers, mono amp for the subs, 4 channel for the coaxils and components, 300w tweeters in the front doors

I bought a used Saleen suspension kit and loved the way it rode. Shortly there after, I got my first set of aftermarket rims (ASA AR6's) 18x7.5.

First accident
Went to Austin, TX, for my birthday and got rear-ended by a Marine in a 89 Ford Ranger who was deploying 3 days later. I felt bad for him, and didn't want to pursue it through insurance, but that is why you pay for it. (He is still doing alright, I have sorta touched base with him a few times)

2nd accident
I was driving along with traffic, and then the car in front of me darted over. I looked up and there was a SUV stopped in the middle of the road at a GREEN LIGHT!!! I almost missed her but kinda clipped her exhaust.

I had a little accident #3, and destroyed one of the 18's... which have been discontinued.

I did a vinyl wrap on my car. Some people said it was rice, some people loved it. I did it because it was what i wanted to do, and my inspiration was panel-style of the old Woodies.

LED fun

Controls go here for now.. soon will do switch panel in "ash tray"

Side Exit

Pending Mods

Car is looking awesome! Quick question, I have always been wondering how to put an aftermarket pedal on the plastic gas pedal, do you just screw it in like you would with a metal pedal?

#9 ·
my blue SVT is in the Kraken's thread, yay \o/ haha

Kraken is the most original SVT I had a chance to see in person, of course not oh so pretty like mine, but close, hrhrhr, keep up the good work mate ! :D

yeah, redline...

Old rims ASA AR6. That style was discontinued. They have a new style under the same name.

Vinyl wrap will eventually return.

Thanks for the compliments. And I know my styling choices aren't for everybody, but I like it and it's been fun.

It's a nice car Daniel, haters gonna have to hate, so I have one thing to say to them. Nanynanybooboo. [neener]

[giddy] lol

i love the car man. if i do any paint with my zx3 it will be black with green accents. i love the neon and everything. its awesome to say the least. keep it up bro.
Thanks. i've gone through a few phases with my car, and its finally getting to where i want it. tucked all the wires under the carpet. going to be doing some drastic things under the hood... one of these days...
i want to mount my battery in my fender... to open up the engine bay even more... running the duratec tray for it (where the intake usually is) right now, but it sits a little too high.

that would be awesome. i still need to get a finishing element for it. just can't decide. CF would be awesome.

fair enough. thanks for the input. i really do appreciate it, instead of just trolling/bashing.

it was an idea i had, i have always loved OG Woodies (hehe) and wanted to try it out. it was a mod, cost me 30 bucks, learned a lot of techniques for laying vinyl, so in the end, it was still a win in my eyes. it's never a complete loss if you can learn new skills in the process. and in all honesty, i know its not everybody's thing, but it did look a lot better in person than it did in pics. but yeah, its off now, and i will be doing some more vinyl work later on, but prolly more subtle. (a la Sharpie car... maybe)

a couple contoured pics from Google

they have 2 "colors"
blueish-purple
and
greenish-purple

here is what i will suggest if you want to keep your color theme going... to me the vinyl looked cheap but each to their own. i would suggest getting the wheels done. black outside with a green barrel. and painting the mirror caps the same green. those are some ideas without putting a vinyl over your whole car.

#35 ·
yeah, this is along the lines of what i plan on doing now.

and yeah, the vinyl was a cheap temp mod to see how much green i wanted to do. i know it was a "tad" too much.

i have wanted to do my rims exactly how you said. just need to decide which rims to do like that.
16s
17s (stockers)
or my new 18s.

16s look like this.

halfway painted one of them to see how it could work, and did it like this (at the time)
