Needs some tint on the tails, next. 1 light coat of Nightshades should do.

Looking good, though. How are you liking those tires?

I agree, but I like only the back signal and the turn signal nightshaded, since they are used less and some tint, 30% or so. Headlights look great brother. Keep up the clean look.

The tires have been great, but I still don't have many miles on them. To quote a friend today, "they still look new!". The noise, feel, and ride are great though. Thank you for the recommendation!

Regarding the tail lights, I agree. A touch on the turn signals and reverse lights would be nice, but I'm not keen on painting my one and only set. If I could get a second set for a good price yes, otherwise I think I'll play it safe with vinyl.

Exactly what I would tint, or at least put the focus on. I do like the look of slightly darker red tail lights, such as on the Edge sport, but even just tinting the clear potion slightly would be a big improvement. I need to talk to a friend of mine to see if I can get some vinyl to do so.

Thanks glocker, my favourite colour for sure.

Around here the weather is quickly changing, unfortunately. Snow is now a possibility in our forecast (I doubt it, but the dreaded name is being mentioned now) so it looks like soon I'll have to dust off the stock wheels and put them back on.

I'm also coordinating to get some more 3M put on before winter hits though, on a few more areas:

-Front lip
-Door handle cups, to prevent scratches from finger nails
-(Possibly) headlights, now that I have the oh-so-nice Ti units.

I have been waiting for the clear coat on the lip to hit the magic 3-month mark for a full cure before getting it wrapped, and that's coming up very fast. I've already spoken to my manager and coworker who does the 3M, and the plan is for me to bring the Fofo in on a Friday soon so that we can get the film on.

Twenty, don't you know anyone that does laminx? Most tint shops carry it around here. My reverse lights and signals are done in smoke if you ever saw it. That's on a hatch though, the lights look totally different on sedan.

Brand-name Lamin-X, no. Vinyl tinting, yes.

I generally do most vinyl/film work on my cars myself, but big stuff like the 3M bra I leave to people I know that have experience. A good friend of mine runs a vinyl company and can find me what I'm looking for for a good price, so I like to order through him.

I have some vinyl tint on hand, but it's a thicker material and won't work with the Focus' tail lights. I previously bought some red film through him which was the perfect thickness but this time I'd need actual tint and not just colour.

I'm likely going to hold off on anything 'big' until after the additional 3M is installed, as I will want to see the final bill for that before continuing on. Being through work it shouldn't be too bad but I still keep myself within a budget to control the frequency at which I buy parts.

Yeah, laminx is a bit thick for the back but it was what I was offered for $10. In my opinion it looks good.. That's what matters right. I'm sure whatever you do, it'll look awesome. :-)

Cheers bawxcar!

I was on campus late tonight for a class, and coming home it was borderline rain/snow. If it does happen to pick up overnight, well, that's why my summer tires are all-seasons.

Regardless, it looks like the Rs will be off soon. May need to move up the date for the 3M as well.

Where are you again? Last year I remember it snowing at the end of November. Lol

Do you have a picture for us of this, or in another thread to not crap up Twenty's thread?
