Yeah, there's not going to be much money going into that car. Just using a lot of what I have left over from the SVT. I do have some ideas for combating the rust, however. It's more a car to play with and practice on more than anything else. It's the car my parents still use as a beater as well so I can't do anything too dramatic to it. lol

Brief update on whats been happening the last two weeks.

The Svt has been undergoing a few maintenance projects in preparation for inspection and to simply fix a couple problems.

Last week we replaced all four tires and did a lot of work on the front end alignment since the steering wheel hadn't been straight since replacing the control arm. Also replaced the OEM horn that had fried itself during one of our many rain storms this year with a former Crown Vic horn.

This week, it got a new rear bearing and seals. For the first time in months, the car actually drives quietly without any humming, and clunking noises. Now that all that stuff is done, I should be able to get back to the conversion and maybe get the front end done before the NY meet this October.

Unfortunately, while coming back from getting the bearing pressed out, one of Rusty's fuel tank straps broke. The tank is still held up fairly well with the other strap but now that needs to be replaced before it can be run much again.

On other Rusty news, installed and repainted the SVT's former hood and sent the old one for steal. Also installed my "winter" Svt front lip and debadged the trunk. Next up will be repairing the front fenders and rocker panels.

Bought a new DS door to replace the dented one that's been on the car since I bought it.

And did more on the bumper

Quick update. Pictures to come soon when things are put back together.

Last weekend, I got the bumper finished and painted

Monday, the cracked windshield was replaced with a brand new one.

All this week I've been tinkering with rewiring the blue lighting since I had such good access to it without the bumper

And today I painted the fender and finished the wiring work including the fender triangle and cutting the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Tomorrow, I hope to polish and install everything.
