Wicked pic, Misfire.

Anybody do their entire hood? After my "second and a half" stone chip on my hood, I'm considering it....

There are a couple guys here that have done the entire middle of their hoods. I'd have to search to find the pics though.

WHEN i go thru a drive thru car wash, it has never affected my dipped wheels...
i prefer to wash by hand, but when i don't, i make sure its a TOUCH FREE wash with no guide rails.
i have had decent luck with them.
it should hold up unless there is already a nick or blemish in the dip itself. then it would just peel it with the water jets...

Auto washes have never damaged my wheels or gas cap that are dipped. the one in town don't haver guide rails and is touch free. so yes plastidip holds up. 5 coats on my wheels 4 on the cap.

What kind of black and clear coat did you use misfire?

I went about 1" wider on each side. I also ran the pinstripe straight up. I'll keep messin' with it until I'm satisfied. I've changed it 3 times already. I went to a 1/4" pinstripe too.

Looks better, a little uneven. Looks to be a little closer to the drivers side. IMO I would just color-match the entire hood.

It's off just a little. The pic looks worse than it is. ( cuz I just went out with a tape measure ) Are you suggesting all plasti dip ? I did my daughters whole car and it was tough to get large surfaces to blend smoothly. I really don't wanna go in that direction.
