Emission Monitors N/A?

So heres the situation. Got the few typical bolt ons on my 06 2.0 duratec zx3. CAI, header and full exhaust. That's it. Got Tom's tune and ran it for years. It passed once like this. Well emissions has cracked down out here in Illinois on monitor readiness so I'm having major issues. I've been in touch with Tom constantly trying to figure out my issues as all my monitors are reading N/A. I loaded my stock tune and I still cant get it to set. So I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone else ever had this problem. I currently the stock header with cat and all o2 sensors back installed. I'm also currently running a dummy tune Tom made up that turns everything back on and its been 3 days now with over 50 miles and still reading N/A. I've read on mustang forums that they ran into the same problem and said it was the tune. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and figured out the issue for it. I'm waiting to get back in contact with tom again to see what else we can try but I'm running out of time! Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same issue in Indiana with my old FX4 Ranger. Took me about 200 miles of short trips to get all my monitors to read. IL must be getting super strict like Indiana now cause I know a few years ago u could pass without some monitors being ready....

Just be happy you dont have to smog your car here in California, damn tree hugging retards make it almost impossible to pass. Even newer cars barely pass, its ridiculous! Good luck.

After reading this, I did my emmissions check just a little bit ago & passed w/ no issues. I have a fwerks header, cams & tune w/ rear o2 senser & egr off.

Well I got a call from Tom, and he took ahold of my laptop from his location and we checked out how the car is running. My handheld scanner says everything is still N/A. But when we ran the xcal and laptop and warmed the car up, the o2s seemed to be functioning properly. Plus the last time he turned the egr all back on and everything seemed to be working or wasn't done with its cycles. So now I have to reload the stock tune, and drive it and see what the laptop says after 50+ miles. Otherwise its off to a shop it goes to see if I can get a more expensive scanner put on it.

Did your ranger read as N/A before all the short trips or was it reading incomplete?

In Washington state, the emmissions people will loan a obd2 readiness detector for a few weeks & it'll beep when the obd2 is ready. If You have been running Tom's tune for a while w/ a header & egr turned off & no cel on, what happened? How is the o2 senser? How many miles on that? Plug mileage?

I was running it for a good 4-5 years with no issues. It passed once with those mods and tune, and now I go and it failed for no apparent reason. It only has 55k on it.
